At 10 years old I wanted to be an interior designer after watching too much Divine Design with Candice Olson on HGTV. Then, it shifted to wanting to be a fashion designer after playing too much Barbie Fashion Show on the computer. My parents bought me a sewing machine when I was 11 years old to make my dreams come true, which I still have today and use at 25. (Shoutout to Mom and Dad!) I have wanted to design for as long as I can remember.

Then in Middle School, I was introduced to Graphic Design after a random class placement. This was the first time in my life I was told I was “good at something” (I didn’t play sports and was/am about the most uncoordinated person around). I held onto that feeling and ran with it to college where I got my BFA in Graphic Design at Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!)

Here I met the love of my life and my best friends. After college, I moved to Athens, GA, and started a job in property management (I know, what? It was covid era and I was struggling okay?). After about 2 years in this job I was yearning to work in the design industry, so I took the steps to get there. During my time of unemployment Crofted Creations was born thanks to so much support from my family and friends. Shoutout to Maddie for the name!

So basically Crofted Creations is a fun hobby that turned into a side hustle. I work full-time as a Graphic Designer and Photographer at a pediatric cancer non-profit based out of Chattanooga, TN, and absolutely love it.
