When I was 10 years old I wanted to be an interior designer after one too many episodes of Divine Design with Candice Olson. Then, it shifted to wanting to be a fashion designer after way to many hours of planning Barbie Fashion Designer! My parents bought me a sewing machine when I was 11 years old to make my dreams come true, which I still have today and use at 26. (Shoutout to Mom and Dad!) I have wanted to design something for as long as I can remember.

In Middle School, I was introduced to Graphic Design and this was the first time in my life I was told I was “good at something” (I didn’t play sports and was/am about the most uncoordinated person around). I held onto that feeling and ran with it to college where I got my BFA in Graphic Design at Georgia Southern University (Go Eagles!)

Here I met the love of my life (we just got married!!) and my best friends. After college, I moved and worked in property management for about 2 years. I was yearning to work in the design industry, so I took the steps to get there. During my time of unemployment Crofted Creations was born thanks to so much support from my family and friends. Shoutout to Maddie for the name!

Crofted Creations (an homage to my maiden name, Croft) is now my hobby/side hustle while I work full-time as a Graphic Designer and Photographer at a pediatric cancer non-profit based out of Chattanooga, TN, and absolutely love it.
